Role Overview

As a Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team at Re-Boot.ai,

you will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our AIML solutions . You will work closely with our product delivery teams, researchers, and infrastructure engineers to embed security into the lifecycle of our products — from design to deployment. Your mission is to proactively identify vulnerabilities, engineer resilient solutions, and ensure our AIML models and APIs are secure against real-world threats, adversarial inputs, and data leakage.

This role demands both hands-on software engineering skills and a deep understanding of application security in cloud-native, AI-first environments. You’ll be responsible for designing secure-by-default systems, reviewing code, building internal security tooling, and leading threat modeling for both backend infrastructure and machine learning pipelines. We’re looking for a collaborative builder who can strike a balance between enabling innovation and enforcing robust security practices in a fast-moving startup.

What You'll Do

  • Implement and review security features in codebases powering our AI applications and APIs; 
     

  • Perform threat modeling and security reviews for new features, including AI inference pipelines;
     

  • Design and build security tooling for detecting vulnerabilities and misconfigurations at scale; 
     

  • Collaborate with DevOps and ML teams to ensure secure CI/CD and model deployment practices;
     

  • Investigate security incidents, coordinate response plans, and develop mitigation strategies;
     

  • Stay current on emerging threats, adversarial AI techniques, and security best practices

What You Have

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding skills in Python, Go, or similar; 
     

  • Deep knowledge of web application security, authentication protocols, and cryptography fundamentals; 
     

  • Experience securing modern cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure); 
     

  • Familiarity with ML infrastructure, model hosting, or data privacy in AI pipelines; 
     

  • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, CVE tracking, and secure SDLC practices;
     

  • Experience with IaC scanning, SAST/DAST tools, and runtime monitoring solutions

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with adversarial machine learning or securing LLM applications
     

  • Prior contributions to open-source security tools or research publications in product security

Compensation Range

$120,000 - $150,000 USD
